For five years, parishioners and congregations in the metropolitan D.C. area have been making a difference in the community through their generous gifts to the United Lutheran Appeal. Each year, the outstanding social, educational, and outdoor ministries of thirteen member agencies and institutions are supported by these contributions. And each year the generosity has grown! In the five years since its inception, the ULA has raised $350,000 for these important ministries.

The 2006/2007 campaign raised $92,474.64. The 2007/2008 campaign began July 1, 2007 and continues through June 30, 2008. Transfiguration Sunday, February 3, 2008, is designated as United Lutheran Appeal Sunday. We invite you to download and share the 2008 campaign booklet, which can be used as a bulletin insert, with your parishioners.

On behalf of the Metropolitan Washington D.C. Synod, Evangelical Lutheran Church of America, and the thirteen member agencies and institutions, we ask everyone to please give prayerful consideration to making United Lutheran Appeal a significant part of their Spirit-driven generosity.
